Brendan Monroe is an artist who makes loose references to science in his paintings and sculptures.  Where art and science converge and/or influence each other is always of great interest to me. It’s a source of ideas in my own work, and almost always where I look for inspiration.

Perhaps this is why I’m so taken with Brendan Monroe’s paintings. I can’t help but lose myself in his fragile, heartbreakingly, beauteous imagery. If I had disposable income, I’d invest in one or more of these beauties.
